The team

The Private Real Estate Group provides high quality advice and service to private clients, trusts and family offices in connection with their real estate affairs. It works closely where appropriate with other specialists in the Firm, including in particular Private Client and Commercial Real Estate lawyers to achieve that aim. The Group currently comprises 5 partners, 24 fee earners and 6 support staff across the Firm’s 4 offices.

The opportunity

We are looking for either a Legal Executive or Solicitor to join the team on a 12 month fixed term basis in our Southampton or Reading.

The main responsibility of this role is to advise on a wide range of residential matters including:

  • acting on sales and acquisitions (by private treaty and by auction)
  • lettings (for landlord and tenant)
  • property management (dealing with licences to assign, underlet and alter etc)
  • property finance

You will work for a variety of clients including investors, developers, banks, and private sector organisations. You will also provide support to our business services department on corporate transactions. As a member of the Private Real Estate team you will be play an active part in business development activities is also required.

Who we are looking for
  • Admissions to the Solicitor Roll preferred
  • 2:1 Degree or higher
  • 2+ years experience of working within residential property transactions
  • Excellent legal knowledge and commercial awareness
