The Firm’s Private Real Estate Group provides advice and service of the highest quality to owners and purchasers of high value property in London and across England and Wales. With four partners, we are well recognised in the standard legal directories. Chambers High Net Worth states: Their strengths are their vast experience: "They are always prepared to go the extra mile to ensure all work is carried out expertly and efficiently."
Tristan Ward and Paddy Lynam are the partners in the Firm’s Landed Estates and Agriculture team within the Private Real Estate Group, described by Chambers 2022 as “professional and excellent technically while maintaining an approachable and collaborative manner." The team includes three solicitors and a trainee solicitor, with support from the wider Firm as appropriate. |
An opportunity has arisen for a solicitor to join our Private Real Estate team in London, with a particular focus on supporting partners and fee earners dealing with rural and agricultural property. The successful candidate will work with partners Tristan Ward and Paddy Lynam together with fee earners and staff across the Firm to deliver seamless service of the highest quality to clients.
Day to day tasks will include advising high and ultra-high net worth international and British private clients and also commercial and charity clients, in all aspects of rural property, including:
- Sale and purchase of farms and landed estates;
- Sale and purchase of rural residential property;
- Sale of land for residential and commercial development;
- The grant of leases for renewable energy projects;
- Advising or occupancy arrangements for agricultural land, including the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986, the Agricultural tenancies Act 1995 and contract farming and share farming agreements; and
- Management of rural property assets, including commercial leases, grant of easements, release of restrictive covenants, rural residential landlord and tenant and first registration of unregistered land.
The successful applicant will also take part in business development both alone and in concert with the wider group commensurate with their own seniority.
Applicants of all levels of post-qualification experience will be considered: for more junior applicants enthusiasm and willingness quickly to become familiar with the relevant areas of the practice, while for more senior applicants familiarity with relevant practice areas is an advantage. Real Estate lawyers wishing to redirect their careers towards rural property will not be at a disadvantage. |
