The team

Our Corporate & Commercial team work across all sectors on a variety of  corporate transactions and corporate matters that are non-transactional in nature. They advise UK and international clients from fast-growing start-ups/scale-ups, SMEs, institutionally owned companies, international/global clients to listed companies. Many of the team have come from large city firms and while the quality of work is comparable the culture and ethos within the team is friendly and collegiate.

The structure of the team is such that this role is ideally suited to someone who is keen to progress rapidly within a sizeable firm.

The opportunity

To work in the corporate team, assisting and advising in relation to all aspects of company law, private company mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and MBOs and MBIs, joint ventures and investor/shareholders’ agreements, articles of association and other constitutional documents, demergers, company reconstructions and reorganisations.  Additionally there is the opportunity to be involved with AIM flotations, takeovers and other public company work, commercial lending and security, financing and refinancing of businesses.

The corporate team acts for acquirers, private equity and VCT funds, founders/sellers, management teams and funders.  Historically, the team has been involved in the more prominent deals in the Solent and Thames Valley region.  The role would suit a candidate relocating to the region, an ambitious practitioner looking to move laterally from a national/large regional firm or an able candidate looking to work for a larger firm doing larger transactions.
