The team

The Risk Department is responsible for the administration of the firm's risk and compliance procedures. They look after anti-money laundering issues and run the firm's file review programme and Lexcel assessment each year. 

 

The opportunity

 

Conflicts

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s conflict checking policies and procedures
  • Assess conflict related information provided by fee earning team as part of CMI process and where relevant, request further information/confirmation from the fee earning team
  • Conduct conflict checks according to the firm’s conflict checking policies and procedures 
  • Review results of conflict checks carried out within CMI process and where appropriate, refer potential matches onto the Dept Risk Partner
  • Scan all relevant documentation onto iManage.

 

Other Risk tasks 

  • Assist in the administration of the firm’s file review programme
  • Assist in the administration of the firm’s AML procedures. 

About the role  

This role may be based at BDBP's London or Reading office where working hours will differ, see below: 

London - 35 hours pw 

Reading - 37.5 hours pw

 

Who we are looking for

Experience  

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Good use of written and oral English.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with varied parties, internal and external.
  • Experience of working with various levels of personnel to deliver agreed outcomes within agreed timescales.
  • Some previous office/administration experience is preferred.
  • Previous work experience in law is preferred.
